Stream Partners Grant

Recently Friends of the lower Greenbrier River (FOLGR) applied for the Stream Partners grant through the WV Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Forestry, and the Division of Natural Resources. I’m pleased to announce that FOLGR has been awarded this $5,000 grant and is looking forward to putting it to good use in the lower Greenbrier River. This grant will help FOLGR; continue to monitor the lower Greenbrier River with part of the grant paying for new water quality equipment.  This will also help cover printing cost and keeping our office in Alderson up and running. We thank the WV Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Forestry, and the Division of Natural for this honor and continue to thank our members and friends for all that you do to for the well-being of FOLGR

Welcome Tanner!! FOLGR's new AmeriCorps Member

I’m a recent college graduate from North Park University, in Chicago Illinois, with a dual degree in chemistry and environmental sciences. I’m a native of Michigan (the Upper Peninsula to be exact). I recently spent my last semester of college abroad in Iceland, studying water chemistry and environmental impact.  I look forward to getting involved in the Alderson community and meeting new people throughout my time here at FOLGR. Feel free to stop by our office when I’m around and remember to keep an eye out for our upcoming events!
